Sustainability in European Agriculture

The course was developed by a group of researchers working within the SIPATH project (full title: "What is Sustainable Intensification? Operationalizing Sustainable Agricultural Intensification Pathways in Europe"). This project took a multi-method and multi-scale approach to understand (un)sustainability in European agriculture, focusing on the historical drivers, the current situations, and expected future developments. The SIPATH project conducted interviews, surveys, and landscape mapping in 15 case study areas across Europe. The outcomes of this research helped to inform the course content. Throughout the course, you will hear about these case studies and meet the SIPATH researchers.
